Selena Kraft was born in Florida on the North East Coast in 1973. Having grown up both next to the ocean and in close proximity to several National Parks her love for the outdoors grew tremendously. Throughout her life, Selena has always been fascinated by images that nature has provided. Living next to a ship yard, she also was fascinated by the bright colors and decomposing of metals and wood. Selena is a surfer who has traveled to 18 countries around the world. Naturally, she is drawn to expressing herself through vast works of art. As a little girl she would take long walks; while her family fished near by. Collecting inspiration from everything around her. She would create assemblages of found combings of the beach; this is a exercise she engages in all over the world. Selena is constantly absorbing everything around her; creating diversity to her work.
